8:28::15:?

=a:b::c:d

=a/b=c/d

=>8×d=28×15 (by cross multiplication)

=>8d=420

=>d=420/8

=>d=52.5

So the answer is 8:28::15:52.5 (Ans)

Answer:

Missing ratio is 52.5 .

Step-by-step explanation:

To find : missing ratio .

Given : 8:28::15:\ ?

Solution :

  • As we can see that in the given ratio of proportion ,fourth ratio is missing . Let ,missing ratio be x .
  • To find fourth ratio we write as 8:28::15:x   .
  • Here , 28 and 15 are called as means whereas , 8 and x are called as extremes .
  • We know that , product of means = product of extremes
  • Hence , substituting values in the above formula to find the value of missing ratio using transposition method . by transposing constants at RHS and leaving variables at LHS .

        28\times 15 = 8\times x \\\\ 420 = 8x \\\\x = \frac{420}{8}\\\\x = 52.5
