Your answer:

a) Here, P = ?, B = 12 m and H = 20 m

By using Pythagoras theorem, we have

∴ H² = B² + P²

∴ P² = H² - B²

P² = 20² - 12²

P² = 400 - 144

P² = 256

P = √256

P = 16 m

b) Here, P = 4 cm, B = 3 cm and H = ?

By using Pythagoras theorem, we have

∴ H² = B² + P²

H² = 3² + 4²

H² = 9 + 16

H² = 25

H = √25

H = 5 cm
