a + 2d = 26. (2)

put value of a in equation (2)

a + 2d = 26

2 + 2d = 26

2d = 26 -2

2d = 24

d = 24/2

d = 12

difference = 12

first term a = 2

second term = a + d

= 2 + 12

= 14

fourth term = a + 3d = 2+ 13*2

= 2 + 36

= 38
