The maximum class freqquency is 33, so the corresponding class is the modal class.

Now,

The modal class=45-55,

lower limit of modal class(l)=45

frequency(f_{1}) of the modal class=33

frequency(f_{0}) of class preceding the modal class=31

frequency(f_{2})  of class succeeding the modal class=17

size of class interval(h)=10

We know;

Mode= l+[(f_{1}-f_{0})/(f_{1}-f_{0}-f_{2}0]h

=45+[(33-31)/(33-31-17)]10

=45+[2×10/18]

=45+10/9

=45+1.1

=46.1

So, The mode of the distribution is 46.1
