Modulus of a complex number is

 \sqrt{ {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} }

Here,

x = -3 and y = -9

Now,

Put these values:

 |z|  =   \sqrt{ {( - 3)}^{2}  +  {( - 9)}^{2} }

 =  >  |z|  =  \sqrt{9 + 81}

 =  >  |z|  =  \sqrt{90}

  =  >  |z|  = 3 \sqrt{10}

Hence, this is your answer.
