Molar heat capacity is given under two condition, at constant pressure i.e. Cp and at constant volume Cv.

Molar specific heat at constant pressure is defined asCP = (∆Q)Pn∆Tand, Molar specific heat at constant volume is defined asCV = (∆Q)Vn∆T
