Answer:

The molarity of the solution formed by muxing two solutions is 0.533M

Explanation:

Given that,a solution is formed by mixing 50mL of 0.6M HCl solution and 100mL of 0.5M HCl solution.

Volume of first solution=50ml

Volume of second solution=100ml

Molarity of first solution=0.6M

Molarity of second solution=0.5M

Let the Molarity of the mixed solution be M and let the volume of the solution be V.

To find the molarity of mixed solution,we use the formula

MV=M_{1}V_{1}+M_{2}V_{2}

The volume of the mixed solution of HCl is

V=V_{1}+V_{2}

Substituting the given volumes in the above relation,we get

V = 50ml + 100ml = 150ml

Now substituting the values of Volumes and molarities in the above relation of finding molarity,we get

M(150)=50 \times 0.6 + 100 \times 0.5 \\  =  > 150 \times M = 80 \\  =  > M =  \frac{80}{150}  = 0.533M

Therefore,The molarity of solution formed by mixing 50 mL 0.6 M HCl solution and 100 mL 0.5 M HCl solution is 0.533M
