Answer:

hey mate here is ur answer ..

The molecular mass H is 1 g.

The molecular mass of S is 32 g.

The molecular mass of Cl is 35.5 g.

The molecular mass of N is 14 g.

The molecular mass of C is 12 g.

H2S is 2 × 1 + 32 = 34 g.

HCl is 1 + 35.5 = 36.5 g.

NH3 is 14 + 3 × 1 = 17 g.

Cl2 is 2 × 35.5 = 71 g.

CH3COOH is 2 × 12 + 4 × 1 + 2 × 16 = 60 g.

CH3CHO is 2 × 12 + 16 + 4 × 1 = 34 g.

\huge\bold{Answer :}

Find the molecular mass of :-

  • H2S

➥ Molecular mass of H = 1

Molecular mass of S = 32

H2S = 2 × 1 + 32 = 34

Hence, H2S is 34 amu.

  • HCI

➥ Molecular mass of H = 1

Molecular mass of CI = 35

HCI = 1 + 35 = 36

Hence, HCI is 36 amu.

  • NH3

Molecular mass of N = 14

Molecular mass of H = 1

NH3 = 14.5 + 1 ≈ 15

Hence, NH3 is 15 amu approx.

___________________________

  • CI2

Molecular mass of C = 35

Molecular mass of CI2 = 35 × 2

CI2 = 35 × 2

70

Hence, CI2 is 70 amu approx.

___________________________

  • CH3COOH

Molecular mass of C = 12

Molecular mass of H = 1

Molecular mass of O = 16

CH3COOH = 12 + 3 × 1 + 12 + 1 + 16 ≈ 44

Hence, CH3COOH is 44 amu approx.

\huge\bold{About :-}

the molecular mass of a substance may be defined as the mass of a molecule of a substance relative to the mass of an atom of hydrogen as 1.008 or of oxygen taken as 16.00 or the mass of one atom of carbon taken as 12.
