Mass of Carbon = 12u
Mass of Hydrogen = 1u
therefore mass of C2H2
= (2×12) + (2×1)
= 24 + 2
= 26u
Mass of Hydrogen = 1u
therefore mass of C2H2
= (2×12) + (2×1)
= 24 + 2
= 26u

Molecular mass = 2 (c) + 2 (h)
= 2 (12) + 2 (1)
= 24+ 2
= 26 amu
