Mass of Na is 23
Mass of O is 16
Mass of H is 1
so mass of 1 NaOH is 22 + 16 + 1= 40
So molecular mass of NaOH is 40
1 mole of NaOH is of 40 g
So no. of moles in 400g NaOH =
400/molar mass of NaOH = 400/40 =10

HOPE IT HELPS...
