Atomic mass of Carbon = 12U

Atomic mass of Oxygen = 16 U

Molecular mass of CO2 = 12 + (16 * 2) = 12 + 32 = 44 U

Molar mass of CO2.= 44g

44 g of CO2 = 1 mole

1g of CO2 = 1/44 mole

88 g of CO2 = 1/44 * 88 = 88/44 =2

88 g of CO2 = 2 mole

Explanation:

Atomic mass of Carbon= 12U

Atomic mass of Oxygen= 16U

Molecular mass of CO2

=12(16×2)

12+32

=44U

Molecular mass of CO2=1mole

44g of CO2=1/44mole

88g of CO2= 1/44 ×88= 88/44=2

87g of CO2= 2mole
