Answer:

Rs 5555.6 is the required answer.

Explanation:

Given:-

  • SP = Rs 5000
  • Discount = 10%

To Find:-

  • Find the MP ( Marked Price)

Solution:-

As we have to calculate the Marked Price.

The Price which is marked on any article is known as its marked price.

  • MP = (100 × SP)/(100 - Discount%)

where,

  • SP denotes Selling Price.
  • MP denotes Marked Price.

Substitute the value we get

⇝ MP = Rs ( 100 × 5000)/(100 - 10)

⇝ MP = Rs (100 × 5000)/90

⇝ MP = Rs 5555.6 (Approximately)

Hence, MP = Rs 5555.6 (Approximately) when, SP = Rs5000 & Discount = 10%.
