As, Discriminant > 0, so the roots will be real and distinct.  

Discriminant of the equation is given by  

Now, here a> 0, b = 0 and c< 0

since b = 0, b^2 = 0

Also, 4ac < 0  as  c < 0

so , - 4ac > 0

Hence, on comparing

we get that

 D = b^2-4ac > 0  

As, D > 0, so the roots will be real and distinct.
