no real roots exist.

Here a=2,b=-3 and c=5

  • Discriminant=
  •  =  {b}^{2}  - 4ac \\   = { - 3}^{2}  - 4 \times 2 \times 5 \\  = 9 - 40 \\  =  - 31  < 0 \\
  • since the discriminant is less than zero no real roots exist.
