quadratic equation is denoted by- ax^2 + bx +c

Now the discriminant(D) of a quadratic equation can be found out by-

D=(b*b)-(4*a*c)

A According to the question,

a=2 b=-3 c=1/2

Putting the values,

D=5

Now since D is positive therefore this equation will have two distinct real roots.

You can further find out the roots by using this formula-

x=(-b±√D)/(2*a)

The roots will therefore be 2, -1/2.lq

The graph of this equation will thus be a parabola intersecting x-axis at 2 and -1/2.

I hope this helps!
