Find D
D= 64 - 48
D= 16
As D is a perfect square, the quadratic polynomial will have rational roots.

NishatAquib: its ok bro.... don't say sorry.
devanshbhardwap56nj5: and u @vaisakh even if did it wrong in first attempt I've provided u with the easiest method

let,
x^2 + 8x + 12 =0
x^2 + 6x + 2x + 12 =0
x (x+6) +2(x+6) =0
(x+6)(x+2) =0
either x+6 =0 or x+2 =0
x = -6 or x = -2

thus nature of both the roots are -ve.

hope it will help u

NishatAquib: thnx
NishatAquib: my pleasure
