Answer:

So, we can't add all force to give a resultant it depends on direction of 8,12,10N forces

So, first tell me the direction

Force is a vector quantity.

But 8N, 12N and 10N can be one dimensional vectors, that way:

8 + 12 + 10 = 30

30N.

The calculation of net force depends on the angle between them (or) orientation (or) direction of the three respective forces.

They are several possibilities depending on their orientation (or) direction.

The possibilities are:

If they are on the same direction, they would add to get the required net force. i.e, (8+12+10)N=30 N.

If one or two of them are in opposite with respect to other(s), then there will be minus (subtraction) in the calculation of the required net force. For example, if 8 N is in opposite direction with respect to others, then, calculation would be,(10+12–8)N=14 N.

If they are mutually perpendicular with each other, the net force would be 82+122+102

If each of them are in three possible directions and if the measured angle between any of the pair of three forces is other than 0∘ , 90∘ , 180∘ , 270∘ , 360∘
