Correct answer is argon.

K+ is formed when 1 electron is donated and 18 electrons are left in K.

Similarly when Cl-is formed electrons became 18 from 17 .

Hence, a neutral atom having 18 electron is argon and it is your correct answer

Answer:

Explanation:

K+ has 18 electrons.

Cl- has 18 electrons too.

Both have an octet configuration, which is very stable. Argon, which is a noble gas, has 18 electrons too. So, argon is the neutral atom in the periodic table.
