The next two terms of the A.P 1, 3/2, 2, 5/2,... is 3 and \frac{7}{2}.

Solution:

Given that a = 1

Common difference 'd' = 2nd term - 1st term

                                           ⇒ \frac{3}{2} -1

                                           ⇒ \frac{3 - 2}{2}

                                  d = \frac{1}{2}

We have to find next two term i.e. 5th and 6th term.

Formula is, a_n = a + (n - 1)d

                                         ⇒ a_5 = 1 + (5 - 1) \frac{1}{2}

                                         ⇒ a_5 =  1 + \frac{4}{2}

                                         ⇒ a_5 =  3

                              5th term = 3

Then, 6th term

Formula is, a_n = a + (n - 1)d

                                         ⇒ a_6 = 1 + (6 - 1) \frac{1}{2}

                                         ⇒ a_6 =  1 + \frac{5}{2}

                                         ⇒ a_6 = \frac{2 +5}{2}

                                         ⇒ a_6 = \frac{7}{2}

                               6th term = \frac{7}{2}.
