It is pretty easy to solve it if you've a little basics of Indices and some of its law.

So, according to the question we're asked to find a number which when mutiplied by (-6)power-1 gives product as 9 power -1.

Let us assume that number to be A.

So, (-6)power-1 x A = 9 power -1

or, -(1/6) x A = 1/9 [ Anything to the power -1 is the inverse of the number. ]

after simplifying we are keeping A in LHS to evaluate its value which is our prime objective and transferring everything else in RHS.

or, A = -(6/9) = -(2/3) (Ans)

Therefore on multiplying -(2/3) with (-6)power-1 we can get 9 power -1 as product.
