let number of rows be X
then,
Number of plants = X

No. of plants in 1 row = X
then,
No. of rows in X rows = X × X = X²

According to question,
X × X = 1024
X² = 1024
X = √1024
X = 32

There will be 32 plants in each row..

No. of plants = 1024
According to the question, the rows and column are equal in numbers. So we need to find out the square root of 1024 to find the no. of rows and column.
So, no. of rows = √1024
= √(2* 2 * 2* 2* 2* 2* 2* 2* 2* 2)
= 2* 2* 2* 2* 2
= 32
So there are 32 rows and columns such that the no. of plants in each row is equal to the number of plants in each column.
Total no. of plants are 1024.
