Roots of quadratic equation are real and equal if it's discriminant is 0
 {( - 3k)}^{2}  - 4 \times 9 \times k = 0 \\ 9 {k}^{2}  - 36k = 0 \\ 9k(k - 4) = 0 \\ k = 0 \:  \: or \:  \: 4
Therefore non-zero value of k is 4
