1term(a) =3
common difference (d)=8-3=5
no. of terms(n) =5
so, nth term =a+(n-1)d
=3+(5-1)×5
=3+4×5
=3+20
=23

Answer: 23

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : the sequence- 3,8, 17, 30, 47

To find : nth term

The n th term is a formula that allows us to locate any term in a series. The 'n' represents the phrase number. By replacing alternative values for the term number, we may create a series utilising the n th term ( n ).

The first term in the given sequence is 3 hence

1st term (a) =3

The difference between the second term and first term is

common difference (d) = 8-3=5

total no. of terms(n) in the sequence =5

so, to find nth term we use the formula  =a+(n-1)d

=3+(5-1)×5

=3+4×5

=3+20

=23

Answer = 23
