Here is your answer,

First term , a = m-1
common difference , d = m-2 - (m-1)
= m-2 -m +1
= -1
n th term = b

An = a + ( n - 1 ) d
An = (m-1) + (n-1) (-1)
= (m-1) - n + 1
= m -1 -n +1
= m-n
