Now let us first clear out what an Alpha-Carbon is. -

Any carbon as that which is either :

Involved in a double-bond or triple-bond (unsaturation)

A carbocation

A radical.

is called an Alpha Carbon.

Now in a closed conjugated ring structure lets say in a benzene ring, there would be 6 Alpha-carbons (since every carbon atom possesses double bond character) each having one hydrogen atom, summing up to total 6 Alpha H’s.
