The number of distinct words that can be formed using the letters of the word Indian = factorial of number of letters / the factorial of the times a letter is repeated

= 6! / (2! × 2!) = 180

Number of words that can have two n's together = factorial of the number of letters while considering the two n's as one / the factorial of the number of times a number is repeated

= 5! / 2! = 60
