we know that,

                                         W = Q*V

                                         20 = Q*40

                                          Q = 20/40

                                          Q =  0.5

-1e = 1.6*10-19 

therefore ,          In 1c =6.25*1018 no. of electrons

Thus,   no. of electrons transferred = 0.5*6.25*1018 

                                                   = 3.125*1018 no.of electrons
