1st number is 3 and last is 99, series being: 3 + 9 + 15 + 21 + … + 99
= 3 x (1 + 3 + 5 + 7 + … + 33)
= 3 x [ (1+33) + (3+31) + … + (15+19) + 17 ]
= 3 x [ 8x34 + 17]
= 867
There are various methods to do this. It is basically an AP series. But I chose this method because frankly this was the 1st one that came to my head!
