Hi,
Number of coins coins = 210 ( given )
Let the number of one rupee coins = x
Value of one rupee coins = 100x paise---( 1 )
Number of 50 paise coins = 210 - x
Value of 50 paise coins = 50( 210 - x ) ---( 2 )
Ratio of values = 13 : 11 ( given )
( 1 )/( 2 ) = 13 / 11
100x / [ 50(210 - x ) ] = 13 / 11
2x / ( 210 - x ) = 13 / 11
22x = 13 ( 210 - x )
22x = 2730 - 13 x
22x + 13x = 2730
35x = 2730
x = 2730 / 35
x = 78
Therefore,
Number of one rupee coins = x = 78
I hope this helps you.
