Hence,

Angle turned by the hour hand from 3 to 6

 =  \frac{1}{4} of \: one \: revolution \:  \:  \:  \: ( \frac{3}{10}  \: or \:  \frac{1}{4})

 =  \frac{1}{4}  \times 360° \:  \:  \: (since \: one \: revolution \:  = 360° )

= 90° or one right angle.

Thus,

The hour hand turned through one right angle in going from 3 to 6 .
