Answer :-

  • Number of Tiles Required = 1500 Tiles
  • Total Cost Tiling = 3750 Rs

Given :-

  • Side of Square Tile = 12 cm
  • Length of Wall = 7.2 m = 720 cm
  • Width of Wall = 3 m = 300 cm

To Find :-

  • Number of Tiles Required = ?
  • Total Cost Tiling = ?

Explanation :-

 In Order to Find the Number of tiles, First we need to find the Area of wall and Area of 1 Tile.

\blue { \boxed { \bf \bigstar \: Area \: of \: Wall = Length \times Width \: \bigstar }}

\rm : \: \implies 720 \times 300 \: cm^2

\bf : \: \implies 216000 \: cm^2 \: \: \star

\blue { \boxed { \bf \bigstar \: Area \: of \: 1 \: Tile = (Side)^2 \: \bigstar }}

\rm : \: \implies (12)^2 \: cm^2

\bf : \: \implies 144 \: cm^2 \: \: \star

Now, we will find the Number of Tiles

\green { \boxed { \bf \bigstar \: No. \: of \: Tiles \: Required = \dfrac{Area \: of \: Wall}{Area \: of \: 1 \: Tile} \: \bigstar }}

\rm : \: \implies \dfrac{216000}{144} \: \: \: \: Tiles

\red { \underline { \boxed { \bf : \: \implies 1500 \: Tiles }}}

‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒

Now, we will find the Total Cost of Tiling

\rm : \: \implies Cost \: of \: 1 \: Tile = \bold{2.50 \: R_S}

\rm : \: \implies Cost \: of \: 1500 \: Tile,

          \rm = (1500 \times 2.50) \: R_S

         \red { \underline { \boxed { \bf = 3750 \: R_S }}}

‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒‒

Hence, the Total Tiles Required for tiling the wall is 1500 Tiles and Total Cost of tiling the wall is 3750 Rs.
