Find the number of square tiles required to tile a floor of dimensions 10m and 9m if the side of the tile is 75cm

length of floor = 10m

breadth of floor= 9m

side of sq. tile= 75cm=75/100m=3/4m

area of floor = l x b= 10x9=90cm sq.

area of tile = 3/4*3/4=9/16 cm sq.

no. of tile= area of floor/ area of tile

= 90÷9/16

=90*16/9

= 160 tiles ( ans.)
