Answer :

The number = 60

Explanation :

Given :

  • One - fifth = 1 / 5
  • Two - third = 2 / 3
  • Gives = 28
  • subtracted = ( - )

According to the question :

Let the number be ' x '

→ 1 / 5 x - 2 / 3 x = 28

⋆ [ LCM = 15 ]

→ ( 1 × 3 / 5 × 3 )x - ( 2 × 5 / 3 × 5 )x = 28

→ ( 3 / 15 )x - ( 10 - 15 )x = 28

→ 3x - 10x / 15 = 28

→ -7x / 15 = 28

→ -7x = 28 × 15

→ -7x = 420

→ x = 420 / 7

x = 60
