find the number, say X such that when 6 is subtract from 3times the number, the result is 6 more than twice the number.?

3x-6=6+2x
3x-2x=6+6
x=12

let the number be x
when 6 is subtracted from the number then equation will be -> 3x-6
when the result of the above equation is 6 more of the twice of the number then the equation will be -> 6+2x
equate the equation first and second
3x-6=6+2x
3x=12+2x
3x-2x=12
x=12
