Find the number such that the mean proportional between them is 18 and third proportional to them is 144

x/18 = 18/y 
xy = 18*18 

x/y = y/144 
x = (y^2)/144 

putting the value of x
we get,

((y^2)/144)*y = (y^3)/144 = 18*18 

y^3 = 18*18*144 
y = 36 

x = 36*36/144 
x = 9 

Therefore numbers are 9 and 36
