Hey friend,
Here is your answer:

With the long division method we can find the number.
6156 we will divide it into two parts that is 61 , 56 like this.
Then we will see that by which square it will come less than 61. ans is 7 = 7×7=> 49

Then we will subtract the no. 49 from 61 it will come 12
Then we will write 12 and the left no that is 56
like 1256
After that , we will double the square no. that is 7 =7 +7= 14
Then we will be write the no 14 aside and then will be writting the no. beside 14 like 141,..............., 149 and also multiply by the last no. like 141 ×1 ,..................149×9 
And so will get 149×9 =1341 .
Then subtract 1256 from 1341 it will come 85.


So the answer is 85 is the smallest number should be added to 6156 to get the perfect square .that is 6241 and its square is 79 .
like 79 × 79 = 6241. verified...
