Let the required number be X.

Then,the deceased number=X-(15%ofX)

=85/100X.

Then, answer to the question:

85/100X=1360

=85X=1360*100

=X=1360*100/85

=X=136000/85

=X=1600.

Hence,the required number is 1600.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let no. Be x

(X*15/100)

X-15/100 = 1360

(Taking lcm)

(100x-15x)/100 = 1360

85x/100 = 1360

85x = 1360 * 100

85x = 136000

X = 136000/85

So, x = 1600

Hence, the no. Is 1600
