Given :

Quotient = 16

Remainder = 9

Divisor = 45

To find :

The dividend

Solution :

We know that,

Dividend (Dd) = Divisor ( Ds ) × Quotient ( Q ) + Remainder ( R )

Here, Divisor = 45, Quotient = 16, Remainder = 9

Dividend ( Dd)  = (45 ×  16)  + 9

Dd = 729

729 is the number which, when divided by 45 gives 16 as quotient and 9 as a remainder.
