Let the number be x,

Then,

We can say that,

⇒ 15x = x + 196

⇒ 15x - x = 196

⇒ 14x = 196

⇒ x =  \frac{196}{14}

⇒ x = 14,.

∴ The number is 14,. Which when multiplied 15, gets increased by 196,.
