Let the number = x

5th part of the number = x/5

9th part of the number = x/9

According to the problem given,

x/5 - x/9 = 4

=> ( 9x - 5x )/45 = 4

=> 4x/45 = 4

=> x = ( 45 × 4 )/4

=> x = 45

Required number (x) = 45
