Let the number be 'x '

Fourth part of a number = x/4

Sixth part = x/ 6

According to the condition of the problem

x/4 =( x/6) +4

x/4 -x/6 = 4

(6x-4x)/24 = 4

2x/24 =4

x/12 = 4

x = 12*4

x = 48

Ans : The number is 48

Answer:

  • The required number is 360

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the required number

 \mathtt{Given \:  that \:   \frac{x}{4}   \: exceeds  \: by  \:  \frac{x}{6}  + 30}

In equation from we have to write like this.

 \\  \sf :  \implies \frac{x}{4}  =  \frac{x}{6}  + 30 \\

 \\  \sf :  \implies \frac{x}{4}  -  \frac{x}{6}  = 30 \\

 \\  \sf :  \implies \frac{6x - 4x}{24}  = 30 \\

 \\  \sf :  \implies \frac{2x}{24}  = 30 \\

 \\  \sf :  \implies \: x = 30 \times  \frac{24}{2}  \\

 \\  \sf :  \implies \: x = 15 \times 24 \\

 \\   :  \implies \:   \red{\boxed{ \green {\sf{x  = 360}}}} \\

Hence, the required number is 360.
