t = d/s

600 / 180 = 10/3

time taken = 10/3 hrs

The time taken is 3hours and 18 minutes.

GIVEN

A train is running at the speed of 180 km per hour.

TO FIND

The time will it take to cover a distance of 600 km.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

It is given,

Speed of the train = 180km/hr

To calculate the the time the train will take in order to cover a distance of 600 km we will Apply the following formula;

S = D/T

Where,

S = Speed of the train = 180km/hr

D = Distance to be covered = 600 km

T = Time taken

Putting the values in the above formula we get;

180 = 600/T

Multiplying the whole equation by T

180T = 600

Now multiplying the whole equation by 180

T = 600/180

T = 3.3 hours

We know that,

1 hour = 60 minutes

0.3 hours = 60 × 0.3 = 18 minutes

Hence, The time taken is 3hours and 18 minutes.
