Find the numerical value of the letters given below (a)DE×3=FDE

Answer :

If DE × 3 = FDE , then E can either be 0 or 5 then only 3 × E will be E

Now, if E = 5 then (D + 1) × 3 = D ( which is not possible)

E = 0

CASE 1 : Now, if D = 0 then all the letters will have numerical value = 0

⇒ The values of D, E and F are 0

CASE 2 : If D ≠ 0 Then, D will take value = 5

So, 50 × 3 = F50

But, 50 × 3 = 150

⇒ Clearly, F = 1

Hence, The values of D, E and F are 0, 5 and 1 respectively.
