Hi there!

If you know fractions, this should be easy.

There are 52 cards in a deck.

If you were to draw any two cards from that same deck you would have 50 cards left in that deck.

Now if you were to find the odds of drawing two KINGS in a deck you must simply do some fractions.

There is a 4 in 52 chance of getting two kings because there are actually 4 kings in a deck,

Which multiplies the chance of getting two kings by two.

If you were to write this it would be a 4 over 52 chance of getting two kings.

There also is another answer that is pretty much the same as 4 over 52 though.

If you know division then you can ‘simplify’ the answer by dividing the answer.

Into a smaller value but with the same size

For example,

1 over 2 is the same as 2 over 4 which is also the same as 3 over 6 which is also the same as 4 over 8.

So if you did this backwards the answers would be the same.

This is known as simplifying.

Now, 4 over 52 simplified is easy.

Just as long as you know some advanced multiplication it should be quite simple.

If you can divide 4 over 52 by 4, then you have 1 over 14

How?

Simple!

4 divided by 4 is 1 and 52 divided by 4 is 14.

Also remember this very important rule...

Whatever you do to the top

You do to the bottom.

Hope this helped!
