there is a simple trick to know the ones digit

if the one's digit of the number is 1, one's digit of cube is also 1

if the one's digit of the number is 4, one's digit of cube is also 4

if the one's digit of the number is 5, one's digit of cube is also 5

if the one's digit of the number is 6, one's digit of cube is also 6

if the one's digit of the number is 9, one's digit of cube is also 9

if the one's digit of the number is 0, one's digit of cube is also 0

if the one's digit of a number is 2, then the one's digit of the cube 8 and vice versa

if the one's digit of a number is 3, then the one's digit of the cube 7 and vice versa

i) 3331 - one's digit = 1, one's digit of cube = 1

ii) 249- one's digit = 9, one's digit of cube = 9
