The orthocentre of the triangle formed by the coordinate axes and x+y=4 is (0, 0)

Solution-

The orthocenter is the point where all three altitudes of the triangle intersect. An altitude is a line which passes through a vertex of the triangle and is perpendicular to the opposite side.

As the triangle is formed by 3 lines,

x=0,y=0,x+y=4

This triangle is a right angle triangle. As x=0, y=0 intersects at origin at 90°.

As, the orthocentre of a right angle triangle is the vertex where base and height meet. In this case, that point happens to be the origin.
