Given:

weight of aspirin dissolved = 3.65g

weight of water used = 25.08g

To Find:

mass% =?

mass fraction =?

Solution:

we know that,

the mass% can be calculated as

mass% = \dfrac{weight_{aspirin}   }{weight_{water}} \times 100

mass% = \dfrac{3.65 \times100}{25.08}

mass% = 14.55%

Now, for mass fraction, we know that,

mass fraction = \dfrac{weight_{aspirin}   }{weight_{water} +weight_{aspirin} }

mass fraction  = \dfrac{3.65}{25.08 + 3.65}

mass fraction = 0.127
