Given :-

First quantity :- 50 cm

Second quantity :- 45 cm

To Find :-

Percentage change from first quantity to second quantity.........

Formula required :-

Solution :-

In the following sum, to find the percentage change, first we should find out the change in quantity.

Change in quantity :-

 \tt \longrightarrow50 - 45

 \tt \longrightarrow5

Percentage change :-

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{5}{50}  \times 100

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{5 \times 100}{50}  =  \dfrac{500}{50}

 \tt \longrightarrow \cancel \dfrac{500}{50}  = 10 \bf\%

\Huge\thereforeThe percentage of change is 10\bf\%.
