Let sides be Ab, BC AC which are tripled to become a triangle PQ, QR, RP

Now By SSS similarity both triangles are similar [ab/pq = bc/qr = ac/rp =1/3]

Hence area(ABC)/ ar(PQR) = (ab/pq)² = (1/3)² = 1/9

1/9 = ar(abc)/ ar(pqr)

9×ar(abc) = ar(pqr)

900% ar(abc) = ar(pqr)

Increase is 900% -100% =800% where 100% refers to the area of original triangle which is to be deducted from area of increased triangle.

ans. 800%
