Explanation:

Molecular mass of CaCO₃=

40 + 12 + (16 \times 3) = 100u

Atomic mass of Ca= 40

∴Percentage of Ca=

 \frac{40}{100} \times 100 = 40\%

Answer:

Question: To find out the % of Calcium in Calcium carbonate.

Formula: Atomic mass of perticular element/Atomic mass of Compound ×100

Answer:

So A T Q,

Atomic mass of calcium =40

Atomic mass of CaCO3= 40+12+16×3

= 100

Percentage of calcium= 40

____×100

100

=40

so, % of calcium is 40%...
